Electrician / Electrical Engineer required for a Family run automotive business in Hedge End

Salary from £38k + Van and Fuel Card
We are now seeking a talented Electrician to join our clients Electrical team at Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire.

Our client is a small team with big ambitions. We are primarily focused on the installation of Electric Vehicle Charge Points (EVCP’s) in the domestic and commercial settings, along with light commercial installation work, condition reporting and any remedial works as required. 

They install a selection of the latest market leading EVCP’s and as such you will need to be able to commission the units using different web-based applications, full training will be provided.

They have expansion plans and as such they are looking into other technologies within the sustainable energy markets, so a keen interest in adapting and learning new skills is essential…

Therefore, we are looking for the right candidate at this early stage of the business. We can develop your role to be a key player in the future success of the company, providing you with secure employment and genuine career development.

The role is very diversified and will include travel to the main areas that we cover Hampshire, Dorset, West Sussex, Surrey.

Electrician required to provide the following:
·        You are required to work using your own initiative 
·        Have a can-do approach to your work
·        A good aptitude to fault finding and problem solving
·        An appetite for working with new technology
·        Managing a VAN and maintaining the stock on board and filing out a material request form.
·        Using the back-office support system to review upcoming jobs for the week ahead
·        Filling out EIC, MWC and EICR forms using a tablet/Laptop
·        Filling out the job completion forms
·        Excellent customer service
·        Neat appearance is essential
·        Delivering a high standard of installations
·        The ability to work with an apprentice and teach them
·        A team player attitude 

Essential Experience:
·        Carrying out General Electrical installation & maintenance works
·        Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports
·        Installation of Commercial/light commercial installations including working on three phase DB’s etc
·        Installation of EVCP’s Domestic and commercial
·        Completion of electrical certification (EIC, EICR, MW)
·        City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition
·        City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspect (or equivalent)
·        3+ years’ experience.
·        Must be competent in electrical installation and fault finding.

·        IPAF
·        PASMA
·        H&S Training
